This index is a public map of transformations rather than a chronology. It is most useful when a work seems to belong to one medium but behaves as though it remembers another.

Two kinds of connection
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Documented migration | A phrase, title, credit, object or process can be shown to move from one dated source to another. |
| Interpretive rhyme | Two works share a structure, problem or vocabulary without sufficient evidence to claim direct derivation. |
The distinction keeps the corpus associative without making it sloppy: a reader can follow a speculative route while still knowing which links are forensic and which are interpretive.
Musical language as cross-medium bridge
The musical-language atlas makes one of the strongest cross-medium continuities explicit: prose cadence becomes lyric; notebook becomes vocal take; performance timing becomes typography; rock-band arrangement carries hip-hop-like bar writing; jazz-like improvisatory permission becomes a writing method; the record becomes another way of editing the page.
