The old books are not behaving themselves
The Old Books Are Still in the Room follows Shakespeare, scripture, Greek myth and the literary canon after they stop behaving like curriculum: Macbeth becomes shouted debris, Revelation becomes a co-credit, Oedipus becomes a proposed wrestling gimmick, Beckett becomes “I’ll goon,” and an impossible Ezekiel citation wears biblical authority anyway. Genealogy without the fantasy of a complete bibliography
The Shadow Lineages / Encoded Contact ledger exists because cultural contact can survive after a proper name disappears. The author-confirmed Gurdjieff case is the control specimen: the Fourth Way contact behind “many I’ed” was deliberate even though a literal Gurdjieff string is absent from the 212-work source archive. A name-search can prove that a name is present. It cannot prove that a lineage is absent.

Broken Relics / Misquotation as Genealogy follows references after they become damaged: Whitman becomes a question; a popular Gandhi-attributed maxim becomes narcotics advice; McLuhan becomes McLaren and then Malcolm McLuhan; Leibniz arrives wearing Wittgenstein's name; Abramović vacates The Artist Is Present; Scaled Alps mutates into Sacred Arps, Scalped Apes, Scrolled Apps and Scraped Ass. The error is not always noise around the reference. Sometimes it is the surviving form of the reference.
Ancestors can be opponents
Anti-Ancestors, Tormentors & Refused Resemblances and Live Intellectual Opponents keep disagreement visible. The Residents are a resemblance the corpus itself refuses. Beckett is called a tormentor and obstacle. Han Feizi supplies a serious prosecution of mysterious language. Krishnamurti's suspicion of naming meets a corpus in which names can also instantiate. Situationist traffic is real while commerce remains usable artistic matter.
Comparison without counterfeit influence
The Club of Rome Presentes JQD vs. The Giants of History and Thought is the large relative-coordinate system: where a JQD proposition rhymes with a predecessor, where it argues, and where it stops. Two specialist wings deepen the comparison: plural personhood across traditions and constructive / institution-building thought.
Ancestry carried in the mouth, ear and room
Oral / Musical Lineages separates the strongest declared musical ancestry from large recommendation / affinity lists. Gil Scott-Heron is called the “Actual Primary Vocal Influence”; Saul Williams “one of my primary artistic influences”; “Vivrant Thing” is named as the most obvious musical reference for “Abiogenesis.” Jazz, rap address, sermon cadence, wrestling promo and rock lyricism then become procedural neighborhoods rather than a flat list of favorite records.
