Clothing is not merely something characters wear

The wiki already tracks fashion as status, disguise and reference. That is only half the story. JQD has a professional background in clothing design, styling, modeling, merchandising and retail, and garments can function as authored objects inside the same practice as records, photographs, websites and texts.

Wearable institution

A hat, shirt or other marked garment can carry a project into ordinary social space. Fork It is particularly useful because an LTAP hat is not just described as clothing: it becomes a social recognition device, a small portable institution whose meaning changes when somebody else notices it.

Merchandise can be canon

The existence of a price or sales function does not automatically move an object outside the artwork. Some merchandise is peripheral; some can be a canonical manifestation of the project. The distinction must be made object by object rather than by assuming that “merch” means promotion and “art” means everything that cannot be bought.

Repair, material and cut

Garment passages care about fiber, condition, construction, silhouette, layering, repair, provenance and price. ADVENT 1.9: Auto Eroto inventories cashmere, J.Crew, sashiko-repaired jeans and damaged shoes in a way that makes clothing an information system before a plot event occurs.

Across projects

Let the Alpine Play extends the record into hats, shirts, cards, manual design and sales language; BLUE HELL can make physical objects under the same umbrella as music and publishing; Mottainai / Waste explains why second life, repair and material longevity matter beyond fashionability.

A broad lexical scan finds clothing/fashion/wear vocabulary in 163 of 212 archived publications. That density is too large to leave the subject as a decorative theme.
