Overview
The piece moves from personal camera refusal into broader questions of image possession, synthetic representation and what kinds of interfaces might exist without returning the user's own image to them.
Form and structure
Its central speculative object is the Unmirror, an interface that can inspect a person without displaying that person's reflected image. The work later becomes especially interesting in relation to JQD photography, which complicates rather than simply reverses the earlier refusal.
Connections
The phrase โThis is not a songโ becomes the explicit opening proposition of โNada Songโ later in 2024.

Inside the work
Burn Me For Warmth (ANICONISM)27 is not simply an anti-image manifesto. It is a large sectional argument about power, visibility, self-presentation, fandom, mirrors, wrestling, pornography, prophecy and the social religions that govern what kinds of person are permitted to appear. Its opening calls itself a story about something that "already happened" and "never did," immediately making documentary status part of the problem.
The numbered sequence keeps changing genres. Advice about power and gaming systems gives way to the rejection of fandom; a SPACE FLYING TIGER hotel-room episode turns backstage wrestling violence into tragicomic theatre; reflections and mirrors become class technologies; warnings, email-like address and subscription machinery sit inside the prose rather than outside it. The "instructions never to view, copy, or destroy" are therefore not just a clever contradiction. They enact the impossibility of controlling an image once it has entered circulation.
The page's later importance to the photography material is precisely that it does not resolve into "images bad." What it attacks is capture without remainder: the pressure to make a person legible through a visible surface, to turn selfhood into a manageable icon. The later photographic practice becomes more interesting when read against that refusal rather than as a reversal of it.
This is also one of the strongest early junctions between the political and aesthetic systems of the corpus. Power is described not only as domination but as the ability to affect outcomes; the work repeatedly distinguishes a desire for agency from obedience to the sanitized throughput of approved cultural product. The image question is inseparable from who gets to define the frame.
