Belief as an engine
The recurring question is less “what does JQD believe?” than what can belief make happen? Religion, magic, ritual and secular procedure repeatedly become mechanisms for organizing attention, identity and action. A prayer, a sigil, a corporate mark, a rule, a score and a diagnosis can all function as lines imposed on a field.
Christian / apocalyptic saturation
Jesus, Satan, revelation, apocalypse, saints, sacrifice, altars, gospel, resurrection and damnation appear continually — sometimes devotional, sometimes comic, sometimes as inherited cultural architecture. Christianity is therefore not a single position in the corpus; it is one of its most available symbolic operating systems.

Sacred and ridiculous
The sacred is rarely protected from jokes. That does not necessarily destroy it. A characteristic JQD move is to let obscenity, brand language, theology and ritual share a sentence until none retains exclusive control over the register.
Pattern and revelation
Patterning Instinct is where religion, psychology and information theory become difficult to separate. A pattern may be revelation, coincidence, delusion, divination, composition or all four depending on the source and relation type.
