Continuation without restoration
The structure is harsher than an inspirational story of resilience. It permits endings to be real and losses to remain losses. What follows can still become material, but it does not retroactively repair what happened.
Formal consequences
JQD works frequently announce endings and then continue through postscripts, commerce, another medium, a later archive or a new object made from the wreckage. Cremation Diamonds destroys and reconstitutes; TERMINAL insists on termination while producing further reception; I Drank What? says “This isn’t finished.”
