A score delegates part of the artwork to execution. The recipient's body, sequence or choice becomes part of the rendering.
Protocol and institution
PREPARED PIANO is especially important because it makes the score literally executable by the recipient. The L.E.W.A.N. wrapper is a minor presentation device; the significant formal event is that instruction passes into somebody else’s body and action.
