Pat is presented as having been “in the biz” since the 1950s, with an additional rumor that he had once been a failed 1940s Hollywood screwball writer. Whether or not that pedigree is useful, it gives the local booking office the sediment of several entertainment industries at once.

He makes the installment’s theme literal: wrestling is work because somebody books it, ranks it, pays it and decides what name gets announced.
