Courier

NULL0 wakes to a briefcase assigning him courier work through corporate garden-grids. He interprets it as an easy desirable job and brings the dog he believes he bred.

Rusty

His relationship to Rusty is the story’s emotional machinery. In a world that insists Men have no childhood, death or consequences, the dog supplies ownership, attachment, panic and purpose anyway.

Pursuit

When Rusty is stolen, NULL0 enlists NULL1933 and enters a detective/chase structure whose questions become increasingly ridiculous and increasingly specific: hat color, brim length, trousers, shoes, district history, gang control and cameras that probably do not work.
