Corrupted Los Angeles
Spoilsport/Finish Shit extends the method from ordinary words into civic and media names. Ten Mile Zone is a probable deformation of TMZ / “Thirty Mile Zone”; Occidental Holywood makes a recognizable Los Angeles name wrong by translation-like substitution and spelling; OHInsiderGossip compresses a whole gossip institution into a brand-like token and appears to reuse the initials of Occidental Holywood. Beside them, Porn Valley is not a coinage at all but an established San Fernando Valley nickname. The sequence therefore demonstrates several different operations at once: invention, corruption, compression and importation.
